Say hello to the Gillet Vertigo. A Belgian supercar made by a former racing driver, you're not likely to see a Vertigo down at the local country club. But it's bound to outrun anything you do.
The previous version of the Vertigo packed a relatively modest V6 engine from Alfa Romeo with 350 horsepower. But because the car is so light – less than 1,000 kilograms – it was capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.26 seconds. Now the Vertigo is back with a new V8 engine sourced from Maserati packing 420 horsepower and promising even more extreme performance.
Official pricing has yet to be revealed, but the outgoing model started at around $265,000.
