Hot Holiday Charter: The World's Coolest New Superyacht for $1 Million / Month

Looking for something extra special to do for the holidays? For $1 million per month you can now charter the world's coolest new superyacth, the 164-ft. Exuma, in the South Pacific. As my colleague Noah Joseph reported in July when the sleek ship was first launched, the Exuma is the first motoryacht from famed Maltese Falcon builders Perini Navi. The aluminum-hulled yacth, which can accommodate ten guests in five luxurious staterooms, was just awarded the Rina Green Plus Platinum certificate in recognition of her proven commitment to environmental excellence, as well as the Most Innovative Yacht of the Year award at the 2010 World Yacht Trophy; she also took home top honors at the 2010 Nautical Design Awards. Interior furnishings for the beautiful craft were designed by Perini Navi's in-house team with a focus on classic maritime style, using oak, teak and Italian marble. The sleek ship has a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 12 knots and comes equipped with a fully customized 16.4 ft. amphibious vehicle and a 12 ft. hovercraft housed in two tender garages with gull-wing doors.

Aston Martin One-77 Selling Like Hotcakes... Cygnet Along With It

It wasn't so long ago that spending seven figures on a new car was entirely unfathomable. Six figures, sure. But seven? That was before the likes of the Bugatti Veyron and Lamborghini Reventon came along and shattered our notions of how much a car could possibly be worth. And then came the Aston Martin One-77.

Crafted out of aluminum and carbon fiber and with a 750-horsepower V12 nestled underhood, the exclusive One-77 commands a commanding $1.87 million apiece. You might think that, at such a high price, Aston would have trouble selling the entire allotment of 77 examples, but you'd be mistaken. Reports indicate that 60 of them have already been sold, leaving only 17 still up for grabs as we go to press.

Perhaps just as intriguing among all this conspicuous consumption is another trend: according to reports, many of the buyers ponying up the $1.87 million for the One-77 are also placing orders for the Cygnet, the tiny city car which Aston Martin is building on the basis of the Toyota iQ. After all, you're not going to be driving your supercar into the city every day, now are you?

Lamborghini Looks to Broaden Line-Up with new Sedan or Sport-Utility Vehicle

Lamborghini is keen on expanding its range with a third model to join the Gallardo and upcoming successor to the Murcielago supercars, but reports differ on exactly what form it will take.

While previous reports suggested a sport-utility vehicle – based on the Audi Q5 to succeed the famed LM002 – was in the works, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann reportedly favors building a four-door sedan model. Previewed by the Estoque concept that debuted in Paris a couple of years ago, the four-door Lambo could borrow its platform from the Porsche Panamera or Audi A7, and could potentially give the Italian exotic automaker a front-engined GT and convertible variant as well. LONDON - Aktres popular Bollywood, Katrina Kaif dinamakan sebagai wanita paling seksi di dunia untuk tiga tahun berturut-turut menewaskan pesaingnya seperti pelakon Freida Pinto dan Priyanka Chopra, lapor sebuah akhbar semalam.

Pengiktirafan Katrina yang membintangi filem Raajneeti dan Tees Maar Khan yang ditayangkan semasa sambutan Krismas itu diumumkan akhbar Eastern Eye's di London.

"Saya sangat gembira kerana menjuarai senarai Eastern Eye's sekali lagi. England sememangnya lokasi istimewa buat saya dan saya rasa bertuah diundi sebagai wanita paling seksi oleh mereka.

"Saya mahu berterima kasih kepada semua orang kerana sokongan ini," kata Kaif yang berusia 26 tahun.

Pemilihan itu dibuat berdasarkan gambar wanita yang paling banyak dirakamkan dan paling dikehendaki oleh penerbit filem serta peminat.

"Walaupun heroin Bollywood mendominasi 10 kedudukan teratas, senarai untuk tahun 2010 turut meliputi pemenang ratu cantik, pelakon terkenal dari seluruh dunia, bintang pop dan personaliti televisyen.

Justeru, Katrina harus berbangga apabila dia dinobatkan sebagai pemenang," kata editor hiburan Eastern Eye's, Asjad Nazir. Pelakon itu dilaporkan sudah berpisah dengan kekasihnya, Salman Khan yang turut dipilih sebagai lelaki paling seksi oleh majalah People.

Blackie kucing paling tua di Britain

BLACKIE

LONDON - Pada usia mencecah 24 tahun, seekor kucing yang diberi nama Blackie dilihat masih kuat dan menjadi calon utama untuk gelaran kucing paling tua di Britain, lapor sebuah akhbar kelmarin.

"Saya memeliharanya sejak ia berusia hanya beberapa minggu. Ketika itu saya berumur 25 tahun. Ia mempunyai satu bintik hitam di bahagian kepalanya," kata pemilik Blackie, Quentin Shaw, 49.

Blackie kini tidak lagi mampu menangkap tikus dan matanya tidak dapat melihat jika ia berada dalam bilik gelap.

Bakal menyambut ulang tahun ke-24 pada Januari depan, usianya bersamaan dengan 118 tahun umur manusia.

Blackie tinggal bersama keluarga Shaw, di Thurnby, Leicestershire.

"Saya fikir apabila haiwan menerima kasih sayang, mereka akan hidup lebih lama," kata Kim Lanham yang merupakan tunang Shaw.

Seorang pegawai dari Guinness Book of Records, Damian Field berkata: "Buat masa sekarang, tidak ada pemegang gelaran kucing paling tua di Britain. Jadi, kami amat berminat untuk mendengar sesuatu daripada pemilik Blackie."

Kucing paling tua terakhir ialah Hestia yang mati pada September lalu di Cheshire pada usia 21 tahun dan 11 bulan. - Agensi
