A LION'S pride takes a battering - when the zebra he picked for lunch gives him a kick in the teeth.
The plucky prey had no intention of being a mane course as the king of the jungle leapt on its back in Tanzania.

It gave him both barrels in the bonce, leaving the lion in a muddy pool as wildlife fan Thomas Whetten, 63, filmed them in Ngorongoro conservation area.
Guess the big cat learned a lesson - things aren't always black and white if you're crossing a zebra.
