- Sportsmail brings you a list of every English club's most expensive player
- Record signings throughout top four divisions vary from £60m to £15,000
- Former Manchester United man Angel di Maria is still the most expensive
- Kevin De Bruyne commanded the second-highest fee moving this summer
In
2015, nine clubs in England's top four divisions broke their own
transfer records as big spending reached new highs with no sign of
football's bubble bursting.
Manchester
City splashed out £54million while six other Barclays Premier League
sides smashed through their own barriers, plus Championship clubs Derby
County and Brentford.
But
it's not all the same throughout the football pyramid, with some clubs
having to go back as far as the 1970s for their biggest-ever player
outlay.
Angel di Maria commanded a British-record fee when he signed for Manchester United from Real Madrid
Kevin De Bruyne cost Manchester City a staggering £54million to take from Wolfsburg this summer
Sportsmail has
brought together the record deals from every one of the 92 clubs plying
their trade in the Premier League down to League Two.
While
the usual top-flight faces dominate the upper echelons of the table,
fallen giants Leeds United still feature at ninth while Middlesbrough,
Queens Park Rangers and Fulham all feature in the top 20 for their
one-off biggest deals.
Newcastle
United have seen 48 league clubs break their own records since they
signed Michael Owen for £16m in 2005, including every other Premier
League side.

At the other end of the scale, Paul Cobb (left, playing for Canvey Island), cost Dagenham & Redbridge £15,000
Russell Penn was signed by Burton Albion for £20,000 in 2009 and remains the club's record signing
*MK Dons transfer is from their time as Wimbledon before they were renamed and relocated.
