SAN FRANCISCO: Apple hari ini melancarkan dua versi terbaharu iPhone dengan menampilkan saiz skrin besar iaitu 4.7 inci dan 5.5 inci.
Ketika melancarkan iPhone 6 dan iPhone 6 Plus itu, Ketua Eksekutif Apple, Tim Cook berkata, hari ini syarikat itu melancarkan "kemajuan terbesar dalam sejarah iPhone".
Sementara itu, Naib Presiden Kanan Apple, Phil Schiller ketika pelancaran itu di Cupertino, California berkata, iPhone terbaharu berkenaan adalah "amat menakjubkan" dengan paparan yang ditingkatkan dengan kaca polarisasi.

LONDON - Sebuah kereta jenis Jaguar model E-type keluaran tahun 1961 yang sudah berkarat dijual pada harga £78,000 (RM401,223) dalam satu acara lelongan di sini baru-baru ini, lapor MailOnline semalam.
Bagaimanapun, pemilik baharu kereta tersebut terpaksa membelanjakan lebih £120,000 (RM617,529) lagi untuk membaiki kenderaan itu.
Hampir semua bahagian pada kereta itu termasuk enjin, badan dan bahagian dalam sudah berkarat.
Model tersebut dianggap sangat jarang dijumpai dan dianggarkan hanya 170 buah sahaja yang masih wujud di dunia.

If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday and have a lot of cash to spare, a tour operator is prepared to take you on a fascinating trip around the world.

Luxury lifestyle website VeryFirstTo is offering a month-long trek to see ten of the world’s wonders for the tidy sum of £77,500.

Holidaymakers will be taken to destinations in countries such as India, Finland, China and the US by a travel company that once offered an elaborate two-year holiday visiting all 962 World Heritage sites across the globe.

The trip will begin with a visit to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland where guests will be able to see the spectacular Northern Lights while staying in a glass igloo

Billed as a trip ‘like no other’, it has been arranged by luxury travel specialists Hurlingham Travel, who have just been shortlisted for The Luxury Travel Agency of The Year Award.

The itinerary will begin with a trip to the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland where guests will be able to see the spectacular Northern Lights while staying in a glass igloo.

From there it is off to Petra in Jordan, the only ancient city in the world that is part hewn from rock wall. It is iconic and instantly recognisable in part due to its starring role in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The next stop on the journey is Turkmenistan’s ‘Door to Hell’ - the world’s only burning natural gas field. It was created after Soviet geologists, who were drilling at the site in 1971, tapped into a cavern filled with natural gas. 

In an effort to prevent the poisonous gases escaping they set it alight in the hope of burning it off. It is still burning more than 40 years later.

The fourth destination is Madagascar and a visit to see the unique and endangered Adansonia Grandidieri tree.

The tour will then travel to the Keibul Lamjao National Park in India, giving travellers the chance to see the rare and endangered Sangai deer, before a trip to see China’s Terracotta Army.

The collection of sculptures that depict the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, is a form of funerary art that was buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE and wasn’t rediscovered until 1974.

A crocodile hunter who spent 17 years in pursuit of the dangerous animals now lives with the biggest captive crocodile in the world.

George Craig, 84, from Green Island, Australia, captured dangerous crocodile Cassius - who is 18ft-long and weighs a tonne - 30 years ago, and the pair have lived together ever since.

As a young man George spent 17 years hunting fierce and dangerous crocodiles, and relocating them to a safe enclosure, where they weren't a threat to humans. 

While George is sure Cassius knows who he is, he also believes that Cassius would eat him given the chance

George captured Cassius in 1987 from a river in the Northern Territory, where he was notorious for his huge size - and was under threat of being hunted down and killed by the local population.

Cassisus, who is missing his front left leg and tip of his tail due to vicious fights, was deemed a massive threat to humans after attacking boats.

So George set about capturing him to save his life, and bringing him to live in his sanctuary.

Cassius has lived at George's sanctuary, Marineland Melanesia, for the past 30 years, but even after feeding him every day, George knows Cassius would eat him in a second, given the chance.

Billy Craig, George's grandson who helps run the sanctuary, has now released a series of photographs charting his grandfather's life with Casssius.

Billy, 23, said: ‘George likes to feed Cassius personally and after 30 years of being his caretaker, he does have a soft spot for Cassius.

‘Cassius is aware of who George is but there are no illusions that he would eat him if he had the chance, without a doubt.’

‘Cassius was a problem crocodile with a very aggressive nature. He was becoming notorious and he would have almost certainly been killed if he hadn't been removed and taken to a safe place by my grandfather.

Louis van Gaal won’t have any excuses if Manchester United fail to mount a title challenge this season – he has easily the most expensive squad in the Premier League at his disposal.

After a tumultuous summer transfer window closed last week, Mail on Sunday research can reveal the United boss has been left with a squad that cost £379.4million to assemble, more than either Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini or Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho can boast.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement a little over a year ago, United’s new 'noisy neighbours' policy has seen them spend a staggering £215 million on players to try and stay on top of the tree.

In the last window alone, they broke the British transfer record fee on Angel Di Maria and signed Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind before splashing out a further £5million to take Falcao on loan from Monaco.

While Burnley broke their transfer record by paying £3million for George Boyd, United have 16 players that they paid at least £10million for.

And while there has been criticism that the squad is top-heavy with attacking players, van Gaal will have a goalkeeper David de Gea and defenders Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Rafael, Rojo, Shaw and Blind available – signed for a total of £104.7million

To put it into context, the figure United have spent on defenders (including goalkeeper) is more than 15 Premier League clubs have spent on their entire squads.

The change in the Premier League landscape is due to Roman Abramovich and Sheikh Mansour reining in spending to comply with financial fairplay regulations while United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward attempts to prove his club are major players in European football despite finishing only seventh last season and missing out on the Champions League.

United want to build a team that mixes superstars and homegrown talent – an English version of Real Madrid during their Galactico years.

The Essex-born accountant, who went to the same public school as Frank Lampard, may have a quieter personality than Manchester City’s former CEO Garry Cook but they have a similar vision for their football clubs; speculate to accumulate and make the world know you’re there.

Woodward made it clear last year he would have broken the world-transfer record had Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to move to Old Trafford and he will spend more in January on Kevin Strootman and a top-class defender, with the option to buy Falcao for £45million next summer.

Financial analysts Deloitte confirmed: ‘Manchester United have recorded the highest ever gross spend by a Premier League club in a summer transfer window. The Red Devils have spent £150m on new talent this window, representing 18% of the aggregate gross transfer spend by Premier League clubs.’

In one sense, it is a throwback to the years when Ferguson started out and consistently broke the transfer record to sign the likes of Gary Pallister, Roy Keane and Andy Cole. Over time though, particularly once The Glazers were installed, the spending dropped as City dominated.

Now, the wheel is turning back as Woodward realises United can not afford to be out of Europe for more than a season if they want to attract the top talent.

On the other side of Manchester, City - regarded as the biggest-spending club in world sport - will actually go into this season with a squad that is £26million cheaper than United’s, at £353.7million.

Mourinho has a squad that cost £301.3million with plenty of other signings like Fernando Torres and Marco van Ginkel loaned out and not available to him this season.

Overall, the figures underline the close relationship between how much you spend and what success you can expect to achieve.

There is a huge gap in transfer spending between six clubs – United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham – and the rest. Everton have the seventh-most expensive squad, costing nearly £96million.

Two of the current bottom three in the Premier League, Burnley and Crystal Palace, are also in the bottom three of spenders.

However, there are some exceptions. United, for one. They are No1 in spending but currently sit 14th in the table without a league win this season. That will change once the new signings all play, starting against QPR next Sunday.

The other honourable exception is Swansea City. Their 25-man squad, plus eligible under-21s, cost a relatively modest £44.6million – less than any other club in the division bar four. Yet they have enjoyed success in the top flight over the last two seasons and are currently joint-top with maximum points from three matches.

There is concern that the ever-increasing spending from the top Premier League clubs will kill competition over time and may even put clubs down the pecking order out of business.

Former Manchester City manager Brian Horton, now assistant-manager at League One Doncaster Rovers, warned at the MBNA Northwest Football Awards last week: ‘The whole Premier League world has escalated out of all proportion in terms of transfer fees and players’ wages

‘Unless we change something then some of those clubs lower down will go and that will be a major shame because the set-up we have, with the 92 clubs, is the best in the world.’

It’s a fair argument but van Gaal, who let his hair down last week while watching new signing Blind collect the Dutch Football Writers’ Player of the Season award, will point out he is under pressure too.

United have talked the talk financially, there are now 379 million reasons for the Dutchman to walk the walk.

He is widely regarded as one of the most promising left backs in the game.

The usually frugal Arsenal paid about 52.6 million dollars to bring Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez to London from Barcelona. Alexis Sanchez is renowned for his lethal pace and scoring prowess. He had enjoyed a fruitful 3 year spell with Barcelona in which he scored 47 goals in 141 games.

5. 1992 Dodge Viper $55,000

Sometimes, even companies that have many years of experience making supercars manufacture bad cars. A good example of these companies is Ferrari. The car’s electrical systems, gearbox and engine management systems were all prone to failure. The reasons why the supercar failed and was quite unpopular were that it featured an LED digital dashboard that drivers could not see clearly in daylight, its touch-sensitive switches and both of its displays often failed and its compounded curves were also quite unpopular. Furthermore, the car was released with carburetors instead of the electronic fuel injection systems that were being used in nearly all expensive cars that were being produced at that time. It had a price tag of $150,000.

2. 1995 Vector M12 $180,000

This expensive supercar was hand built by Vector Aeromotive Corporation from 1995 to 1998. They used a lengthened chassis and a Lamborghini Diablo engine to build the car. With its powerful engine, it should have been a great supercar, but Vector motors decided to incorporate into the car a poor quality and cheap fiber glass body. The Vector M12 also had a fuel economy of only 13 miles per gallon. The end result of all this was that Vector Aeromotive Corporation was not able to build more cars and the company was dissolved. It had a price tag of $180,000.

This super car was promoted as the American equivalent of supercars such as the Lamborghini Diablo. However, many of the people who bought it (including tennis player Andre Agassi) complained that it had reliability issues. The car was underdeveloped, which led to reliability issues and it was also over engineered which contributed to its high price tag ($455,000). Other more reliable supercars that were being sold at that time had lower prices for example the Ferrari F40 had a price tag of $415,000. Eventually Vector Motors (which later changed its name to Vector Aeromotive Corporation) had to stop manufacturing the car.
